Mary Jane "Janie" Koehler , 79, of Richlandtown, PA; formerly of Souderton went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, April 2, 2023 at Phoebe Richland Health Care Center.

Janie was born in Sellersville, PA to the late Harold T. Koehler and the late Alice L. (Gehman) Koehler.

She graduated from Souderton Area High School, class of 1961.

Janie was employed as an assembler for Parker, Division of Porter Instruments, Franconia Township, Pa for most of her adult life, retiring in 2008.

She was a former chaperone for the North Penn Marching Knights of Lansdale, PA, traveling with them on competitions locally as well as two times to Arizona.

Janie was a life member of Zion Mennonite Church, where she served as a Sunday School teacher, sang in the church choir and enjoyed singing with the Zion Choral Society.

She enjoyed going to Ocean City, NJ and traveling with the Hagey Bus Tours, and spending time with her family attending sporting events, especially baseball games. She also enjoyed attending her great niece's softball games.

Janie is survived by her sister, Jeanette Platt & husband Robert of Lansdale, PA; her brother, Keith Koehler & wife Mary of Telford, PA; her niece, Rhonda Pawling of Lansdale, PA; her nephew, Jason Robert Platt & wife Rosanne of Hatfield, PA; and her two great nieces, Ashley Pawling & Jenna Rose Nyce, both of Lansdale, PA.

A viewing will be held on Tuesday, April 11, 2023 at Anders-Detweiler Funeral Home & Crematory, 130 East Broad Street, Souderton, PA, 18964 from 10:00 am to 11:00 am. A funeral service will follow at 11:00 am. The service will be Livestreamed.

Burial will take place at Zion Memorial Gardens, Telford, PA.
