MaryAnn (Martin) Kinney , 77, of Telford, PA; formerly of Lansdale, PA & Perkasie, PA went home to be with the Lord on Friday, August 13, 2021 at her residence.
She was the loving wife of the late David Howard Kinney for 33 years. MaryAnn was born in Quakertown, PA to the late Wayne Daniel Martin and the late Helen Detweiler (Leatherman) Martin.
MaryAnn attended Christopher Dock Mennonite High School, then attended Bucks County Community College, thereafter.
MaryAnn worked as a presser for the former Royal Pants factory in Perkasie and also spent time working with the migrant workers where she did missions work in Phoenix, AZ for 2 years. She later worked as a laborer for the former American Olean Tile Company in Lansdale. MaryAnn was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She worked as a nurse's aide for a local nursing home in Pen Argyl, PA. MaryAnn then worked as a social worker for Access Services, Inc. in Ft. Washington, PA for more than 10 years at which she then retired to care for her husband from home.
She was a former member of Perkasie Mennonite Church and the Open Bible Church in Lansdale where she served as a Sunday school teacher and sang in the choir at both churches. MaryAnn was a current attendee of First Baptist Church of Perkasie.
MaryAnn loved to sing. She enjoyed playing Pinochle with her neighbors and friends at the Grundy Manor, shooting pool with her son and grandchildren when they would visit, watching baseball, and leisure walking. MaryAnn was an avid reader and loved to study the Bible. She enjoyed traveling to the beach with her siblings. MaryAnn enjoyed arts and crafts and daily morning devotions. She loved the outdoors, especially camping. MaryAnn also loved scenic driving and one of her favorites was the Skyline Drive. She enjoyed listening to contemporary Christian, gospel, classical and opera music.
MaryAnn was a loving, caring, energetic, jovial, outgoing, and spiritual woman who was selfless, always comforting, and would do anything for others and her family.
She is survived by her son, Edward David Kinney Sr. & wife, Wendy of Ambler, PA; her four grandchildren, Edward David Kinney, Jr. & wife, Kimberly of Kissimmee, FL, David Thomas Kinney & wife, Katelynne of Richlandtown, PA, Brittany Rose Shinehouse & husband, Bryan of Perkasie, PA, & Noah Daniel Kinney of Perkasie, PA; her four great-grandchildren – Jaeson, Zack, David, & Julianne; her two sisters, Ruth Beryl Martin & husband, Norman Ryan of Georgetown, DE, Carolyn Mae Cardin & husband, Wayne of Elkton, VA; and her sister-in-law, Kimberley Poley of Barto, PA.
In addition to her parents and husband, MaryAnn was preceded in death by her brother, Floyd Dale Martin.
A visitation will be held on Saturday, October 9, 2021 at First Baptist Church of Perkasie, 1600 N. 5th Street, Perkasie, PA 18944 from 9:00 am - 10:00 am, followed by a Celebration of Life Service at 10:00 am.
