Obituary

Matthew J. Branning , 50, of Sellersville, PA went home to be with the Lord unexpectedly on Friday, October 15, 2021.

He was born in Cuenca, Spain to Anna Kuehn Branning of Sellersville, PA and the late Walter B. Branning, Jr.

Matt attended Faith Christian Academy in Sellersville, PA.

He worked as an iron worker for the former Branning Steel Erectors in Telford, PA, as a sandblaster for the former Wingate Sandblasting in New Britain Township, PA, and as an engraver for BuxMont Awards in Lansdale & Sellersville. Lastly, Matt was employed as an assembler for Enchlor Inc. in Silverdale, PA.

He loved hiking, playing basketball & tennis, and was an avid car enthusiast. Matt enjoyed bowling, dining out, listening to all types of music including Gospel, boxing, playing and watching sports, and entertaining his nieces and nephews. He was a big advocate for pro-life.

Matt had an independent, strong willed character, and always stood up for what he believed in. He had a great sense of humor, was always quick with a joke, and loved to tell a great story. Matt was outgoing, fun, and jovial. He was also caring, humble, and generous to everyone he met.

In addition to his mother, Matt is survived by his three brothers, Timothy M. Branning of Sellersville, PA, Walter B. Branning III of Sellersville, PA, Daniel J. Branning of Palm, PA; his three sisters, Mary Anne O'Riordan of Pennsburg, PA, Dorcas G. DeTurk & husband, Kris of Sellersville, PA, Esther S. Worthington of East Greenville, PA; his seven nieces, Anna T. DeTurk of Sellersville, PA, Clarise P. DeTurk of Sellersville, PA, Ava O'Riordan of Pennsburg, PA, Kassie O'Riordan of Perkasie, PA, Theresa O'Riordan of Pennsburg, PA, Skylar E. Worthington of Lakeland, FL, Nevaeh S. O'Shura of East Greenville, PA; and his three nephews, Kristian T. DeTurk of Sellersville, PA, Owen O'Riordan of Pennsburg, PA, Ethan O'Riordan of Pennsburg, PA.

A private family burial took place at Immanuel Leidy's Church Cemetery.
