Merrill P. Brown , 87, of Souderton, PA, died February 8 ^th , 2023 at Souderton Mennonite Homes, Souderton, PA.

He was the husband for 65 years of Shirley F. (Godshall) Brown of Souderton.

Merrill was born in Sellersville, PA to the late Thomas P. and the late Nellie (Snyder) Brown.

He attended Souderton High School and earned an Associate's Degree through Penn State University at the Abington, PA campus.

Merrill was employed by Schulmerich Carollions, Sellersville for ten years and Link Belt/FMC, Colmar, PA for 30 years as a Mechanical Engineer.

His memberships included Zwingli United Church of Christ in Souderton and the Grundsow Lodge.  He had served in the U.S. Army as Medical Technician during the Korean Conflict.

Merrill enjoyed painting landscapes, photography, writing poetry and speaking the Pennsylvania Dutch dialect. He taught Evening Art Classes at the Bucks Community College. He served as a volunteer at Souderton Mennonite Homes. He was part of the Mennonite Marriage Encounter organization, and he worked for 9 years with the Indian Creek Foundation.

Besides his wife, Shirley, he is survived by eight nephew and nieces and Penny Wolf

A visitation will be held on, Tuesday, February 14, 2023 at Zwingli United Church of Christ, 350 Wile Avenue, Souderton, PA 18964. A viewing will take place from 10 to 11 AM at the church prior to the service.

Private Burial will take place at Washington Crossing National Cemetery, Newtown, PA.
