Obituary

Michael "Mike" P. Carota, 57, of Quakertown, PA—formerly of Coaldale—passed away peacefully on Monday, October 6, 2025, at St. Luke's Hospital – Upper Bucks Campus.

He was the devoted husband of Sheila A. (O'Brien) Carota, with whom he shared 17 loving years of marriage.

Born in Lansdale, Mike was the son of Phyllis (Kundla) Carota of Lansdale and the adoptive son of the late Martin L. Carota. He was a 1986 graduate of Perkiomen Valley High School.

Mike proudly served as a cook in the United States Navy. After his service, he pursued a career in printing, working for Quad Graphics in Chalfont and, most recently, as a Press Operator for RR Donnelley in Quakertown.

A man of many passions, Mike had a deep love for music—especially rock—and enjoyed playing his bass guitar. He was a talented artist who worked in charcoal and Indian ink. Mike also loved cooking, grilling, playing golf, and spending time with his family. Known for his dark sense of humor and playful spirit, he was a jokester, prankster, and storyteller who always knew how to make others laugh.

He had a soft spot for animals, especially his beloved cats—Squish, Milo, and Frankie—and fondly remembered his past feline companions, Toker and Pudgy.

In addition to his mother, Phyllis and his wife, Sheila, Mike is survived by his daughter, Jazmyn Nichole Boos of Quakertown; his step-daughter, Chelsea L. Mitteager and her husband, Mike of Nesquehoning; his two step-sons, William J. Digiglio of Lansford and Aaron M. Meyer of Quakertown; his two step-grandsons, Cayden Branch and Miles Mitteager, both of Nesquehoning; and his brother, Stephen J. Boos and his wife, Lone of Lansdale.

Per Mike's wishes, no services will be held.
