Obituary

Mildred "Millie" A. (Kolb) Halteman , 89, of Souderton, PA went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, January 13, 2024 at Souderton Mennonite Homes.

Millie was the loving wife of the late Lester L. Halteman for 59 years. She was born in Spring City, PA to the late Arthur Kolb and the late Bertha (Reeser) Kolb.

Millie attended Lancaster Mennonite High School. She assisted her husband, Lester, at the Reading Terminal Market, until they retired in 1997. They then operated the Twin Streams Campground in Morris, PA which they founded in 1972.

Millie was a member of Perkiomenville Mennonite Church.

Millie was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great-grandmother who loved spending time with family. She also loved her cats. She enjoyed playing the organ, Scrabble, and yearly trips to Sarasota, FL.

Millie is survived by her four daughters, Deborah Garges & husband, Henry of Harleysville, PA, Cheryl Horn & husband, John Diaz of Pueblo, CO, Carla Haflett & husband, Lyle of Canton, PA, Connie Snyder & husband, Rick of Lancaster, PA; her two sons, Dennis Halteman of Green Lane, PA, Richard Halteman & wife, Jill of Souderton, PA; her 18 grandchildren; her 33 great-grandchildren; her three great-great-grandchildren; and her sister, Miriam Queer & husband, James of Altoona, FL.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her son, Christopher Halteman; her grandson, Chet Halteman, and great-grandson, Tanner Kolb.

A viewing will be held on Friday, January 19, 2024 at Franconia Mennonite Church, 613 Harleysville Pike, Telford, PA 18969 from 10:00 am - 11:00 am, followed by a funeral service at 11:00 am. The service will be livestreamed. Please click here to watch.

Burial will take place at Franconia Mennonite Cemetery.
