Mildred Geraldine (Strouse) Linsenbigler , 99, formerly of Hatfield, PA, went home to be with the Lord on her birthday, Tuesday, April 20, 2021. She resided at Elm Terrace Gardens in Lansdale, PA. She was known by friends and family as Millie.
She was born in Quakertown, PA to the late Joseph G. Strouse and the late Rose G. Morgan Strouse. She was married to the late Herman B. Linsenbigler for 26 years.
Mildred worked in the maintenance department at Hatfield Quality Meats for 16 years before retiring.
Mildred loved taking care of plants and would spend time outdoors tending to her garden. She enjoyed going for walks around her neighborhood, and she was known to make small talk with anyone she met. She loved animals and enjoyed interacting with her neighbors' pets since she didn't have any of her own. She enjoyed spending time with her 5 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.
She attended Zion Mennonite Church for many years. She was a long time assistant in the church's nursery as well as a member in the adult Sunday school class. She was always happy to help friends and neighbors.
She is survived by a son, Gary W. (Karen) Linsenbigler of Kissimmee, FL and a daughter, Karen Renner of Hatfield, PA; five grandchildren, Gregory Linsenbigler of Hamburg, PA, April (Mark) Doughty of Newark, DE, Melissa (Tim) Mokes of Sellersville, PA, Amber (John) Monte of Perkasie, PA, and Kaleb Garis of Perkasie, PA; eight great-grandchildren, Sam Linsenbigler, Ryan Doughty, Trent, Lennon, and Avery Mokes, and Madelynn, Gabriel, and Piper Monte.
She was preceded in death by father, Joseph G. Strouse; mother, Rose G. Morgan Strouse; husband, Herman B. Linsenbigler; twin sister, Myrtle (Ernest) Linsenbigler; brother, Howard (Margaret) Strouse; and three sisters, Dorothy Laskey, Anna Kramer, and Grace Strouse.
Viewing will be held on Thursday, April 29, 2021 from 9:30-10:30am with the funeral service immediately following at 10:30am at Zion Mennonite Church, 149 Cherry Lane Souderton, PA 18964.
There will be a private burial at Zion Memorial Gardens.
