Mirdza Rozite “Rose” (Ukstins) Jaunzemis, 94, of Telford, Pennsylvania, formerly of Souderton, Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, and Oley, Pennsylvania, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Monday, September 21, 2026, at Lutheran Community at Telford.

Rose was the loving wife of the late Agris Earl Jaunzemis, with whom she shared 71 years of marriage. She was born in Jelgava, Latvia, to the late Rudolf Ukstins and the late Leontine (Vajeiks) Ukstins.

Rose graduated from Quakertown High School in 1951 and from the University of Pennsylvania Dental Institute in 1952. She was employed as a factory worker by the former Leeds & Northrup in North Wales, Pennsylvania, for 16 years before retiring in 1986.

Rose was a longtime and devoted member of the Bucks County Latvian Baptist Church in Applebachsville. Throughout the years, she served faithfully in many capacities, including as a longtime member of the church council, church secretary, director of the Women’s Missionary Society, Sunday school director and teacher, and choir member and soloist. Within the Union of Latvian Baptists in America, she served on the board and was active in women’s ministry and relief activities. She was currently a member of Immanuel Leidy’s Church in Souderton.

Rose had many interests and talents. She was an excellent cook and loved singing, sewing, flower gardening, and traveling. Above all, she was a hardworking, caring, and loving woman who was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She treasured the time she spent with her family and leaves them with many cherished memories.

Rose is survived by her three children: Ruth E. Patterson and her husband, David, of Souderton, PA; Ronald A. Jaunzemis and his wife, Katherine, of Souderton, PA; and Agnes “Sandy” Rutter and her husband, Jeffery, of King George, VA; her three grandchildren, Ryan Patterson of Souderton, PA; Philip T. Jaunzemis and his wife, Amber, of Lansdale, PA; and Michelle Rutter Friberg and her husband, Patrick, of Washington, DC; and her two great-grandchildren, Alannah Jaunzemis and Kieran Jaunzemis, both of Lansdale, PA. She is also survived by her brother, Juris Ukstins and his wife, Jennifer, of Chatham, MA; and her sister-in-law, Marion Ukstins, of Woodbury, NJ.

In addition to her parents and beloved husband, Agris, Rose was preceded in death by her brothers, John Ukstins and Peter Ukstins, and her sister-in-law, Ruta Ukstins.

Visitation will be held Tuesday, October 27, 2026, from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. at Immanuel Leidy’s Church, 273 W. Cherry Lane, Souderton, PA 18964. A Celebration of Life service will follow at 11:00 a.m.

A private inurnment will take place at St. Paul’s Evangelical Lutheran Cemetery.
