Miriam A. Halteman, 86, of Souderton & Franconia, PA went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, April 18, 2020 at her home in Franconia TWP.

Miriam was born in Franconia, PA to the late Melvin S. Halteman and the late Carrie D. (Alderfer) Halteman.

Miriam worked at her parent's home until 21 years of age then took on a house cleaning position in Souderton for next 10 years. In 1964, she was employed as an office secretary for 18 years for Landis Meats, Franconia, PA, then was employed as an office secretary for Godshall & Delp Meats of Harleysville. In the early 1990's she did several house cleaning jobs until retiring in 2018.

A founding faithful member of the Indiancreek Mennonite Church, she was the first children's primary class Sunday School teacher.

She enjoyed gardening and flowers. Miriam loved local church, local community history and collected history from local newspapers. She especially loved the meals provided by her nieces and nephews.

Miriam is the last of ten children and is survived by her two sister-in-laws, Patricia wife of Melvin A., Newville, PA and Clara wife of Wilmer A. of North Lawrence, New York.
Also surviving are many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her six brothers, Norman, Alvin, Clarence, Willis, Wilmer and Melvin A. Halteman; and her three sisters, Mary Moyer, Edna Reinford and Ruth Mack.

Burial will take place at Indian Creek Mennonite Cemetery, Franconia, Pa. Please omit flowers.
