Obituary

Mourad R. Abouseif, 68, of Harleysville, Pennsylvania, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, November 3, 2026, at Silver Stream Center in Spring House, Pennsylvania.

He was the beloved husband of Hanaa Noshy Ayad Gerges, with whom he shared 38 years of marriage.

Born in Alexandria, Egypt, Mourad was the son of the late Ramzy Abouseif and the late Ales Farag Youssef. He completed his high school education in Egypt and went on to build a life centered on hard work, faith, and family.

Mourad dedicated 20 years of his career to Vebra Construction Industry in Alexandria, Egypt, where he served as a supervisor. After moving to the United States, he continued working as an associate at Walmart in Hatfield, Pennsylvania.

He was a devoted member of St. Mary & St. Kyrillos Coptic Orthodox Church in Hatfield, where his faith remained an important part of his life.

Mourad found his greatest joy in the simple blessings of life. He loved fishing, spending time with his family, and especially caring for and making memories with his grandchildren. He was an honest, humble, and down-to-earth man whose kindness, thoughtfulness, and consideration for others touched the lives of those around him. Above all, he was a devoted family man who loved his family deeply. He will be remembered for his gentle nature, generous heart, and the love he shared with those closest to him.

Mourad's memory will live on through the family he cherished, the faith he held dear, and the many lives he touched. May he rest in the loving arms of the Lord, and may his memory be eternal.

In addition to his loving wife, Hanaa, Mourad is survived by his three daughters: Katreen Mourad Melad & husband, Bola Mesdary and Janet Mourad Melad, both of Alexandria, Egypt, and Ereny Abouseif of Harleysville, Pennsylvania; and his two beloved grandchildren.

He is also survived by his three brothers: Fr. Basilius R. Milad & wife, Hanan Michael of Hatfield, Pennsylvania; Milad R. Abouseif & wife, Viola Shoukry of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania; and Medhat R. Abouseif & wife, Wafaa Merges of Lansdale, Pennsylvania; his two sisters: Amal R. Abouseif & husband, Adel Awad of Telford, Pennsylvania, and Amany S. Abdelshahid & husband, Naser Abdelshahid of Hatfield, Pennsylvania; and his sister-in-law, Mervet Meikhil of Lansdale, Pennsylvania.

In addition to his parents, Mourad was preceded in death by his brother, Maher Ramzy Abouseif.

A Divine Liturgy will be held on Friday, November 6, 2026, from 8:00 to 10:00 a.m. at St. Mary & St. Kyrillos Coptic Orthodox Church, 2500 Unionville Pike, Hatfield, Pennsylvania 19440. This will be followed by a funeral service at 10:00 a.m.

Interment will take place at Whitemarsh Memorial Park.
