Mynor Estuardo Cruz-Pérez, 36, of Souderton, Pennsylvania, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, October 6, 2026, at his residence.

Mynor was born in Chiquimula, Guatemala, to Rosalio Cruz and Maria Herlinda Pérez-Mendez. He graduated from Souderton Area High School with the Class of 2007.

Throughout his working life, Mynor dedicated himself to the culinary field. He began working as a prep chef at Noodle Eighty Eight in Souderton. He then was employed as a chef for the former Soprano’s Pizzeria II (now Souderton Pizza and Pasta) in Souderton, Lucas Pizza in Telford, Frida’s Mexican Grill Two in Souderton, and most recently at New Station Pizza in Souderton.

Mynor was a member of St. Stanislaus Roman Catholic Church in Lansdale.

Mynor was a familiar and beloved presence throughout the Souderton community. He had a passion for fixing and driving cars and enjoyed drawing, cooking, listening to all kinds of music, and enjoying good food. He especially loved helping new immigrants adjust to life in America and was always willing to lend a helping hand. He generously supported local fundraisers and enjoyed cheering on the Philadelphia Phillies and Eagles.

Those who knew Mynor will remember him as a generous, friendly, hardworking, intelligent, and caring man with a wonderful sense of humor. He brought laughter and kindness to those around him and made a lasting impression on many people in the community.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by his brother, Arsenio Gameliel Cruz-Pérez and his wife, Arcely Rodriguez, of Souderton, PA; his sisters, Maria Del Carmen Cruz-Pérez and her companion, Edvin “Rene” Ramirez, of Souderton, PA, and Sidian Yanthet Cruz-Pérez, of Esquipulas, Guatemala; his nieces, Joselyn Michelle Cruz and her companion, Israel Antonio Gonzalez, of Souderton, PA, Katherine Yaneth Ramos-Cruz of Esquipulas, Guatemala, Sandy Guadalupe Alvarez-Cruz, of Souderton, PA, and Fatima Yaretzy Cruz-Rodriguez, of Souderton, PA; and his three nephews, Oscar Rene Cruz-Pérez of Esquipulas, Guatemala, Francisco Cruz-Pérez of Esquipulas, Guatemala, and Angell Ariel Cruz-Rodriguez, of Souderton, PA.

He was preceded in death by his brother, Oscar Rene Cruz-Pérez, and his niece, Grace Mary Cruz-Rodriguez.

A visitation will be held on Thursday, October 15, 2026, from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at Anders-Detweiler Funeral Home & Crematory, 130 E. Broad St., Souderton, Pennsylvania 18964. A funeral service will follow at 11:00 a.m. The service will also be livestreamed.

Burial will take place at Cementerio Las Crucitas in Esquipulas, Department of Chiquimula, Guatemala.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the funeral home to help defray funeral expenses.
