Nagwa Nassif Bichay, 75, of Norristown, PA; formerly of Collegeville passed away on Monday, July 3, 2023 at the West Chester Rehabilitation and Health Center.
She was the loving wife of the late Dr. Mounir Bichay for over 31 years. Nagwa was born in Egypt to the late Nassif Latif and the late Malaka Latif.
Nagwa graduated from Ein Shams University in Cairo, Egypt with a Masters in Accounting. She was employed as an Accountant for Cairo International Airport, and most recently at Wegmans of Collegeville, PA.
She was a member of St. Mary and St. Mercurius and St. George Coptic Orthodox Churches of Greater Philadelphia.
Throughout her life, Nagwa enjoyed dancing and crocheting. She will be remembered as an amazing cook that always made sure her family and friends were well fed. Nagwa was known to have an extreme love for all animals, most especially her cat, Raja, who she loved with all her heart. She was a kind and compassionate woman of faith that lived in Christ, and always stayed independent. She loved to share stories about her beloved husband, was an extremely devoted mother, and a selfless, fashionable, detail oriented individual.
She is survived by her son, Ehab Bichay, and companion Shayna, of Bear, DE; and Sister, Nelly Ishak, and husband Maged, of Chicago, IL.
In addition to her parents and loving husband, Nagwa was preceded in death by her sister, Nadia Nassif Latif.
A Holy Liturgy will be held in her memory from 9:00 to 11:00 am immediately followed by a Funeral Service on Saturday, at 11:00 am on July 8, 2023, at St. Mary and St. Mercurius Coptic Orthodox Church of Conshohocken located at 209 West 5th Avenue, Conshohocken, PA. 19428.
Burial will take place at George Washington Memorial Park at 1:00 pm following the services.
