Obituary

Nancy (Ruth) Wydra , 87, of Walnutport, PA, formerly of Souderton, passed away on Wednesday, February 4, 2026, at Lehigh Valley Hospital–Cedar Crest in Allentown, PA.

She was the loving wife of Leonard G. Wydra, with whom she shared 44 years of marriage. Born in Telford, PA, Nancy was the daughter of the late Eleanor Ruth.

Nancy was a graduate of Souderton High School, Class of 1956. She began her career at Union National Bank on Main Street in Souderton, where she served as head of the proof department and later as Assistant Auditor. She later worked as a teller at Honesdale National Bank in Honesdale, PA, until her retirement.

In addition to her husband, Leonard, Nancy is survived by her daughter, Linda A. Landis and her husband Bruce of West Grove, PA; her son, Glenn Novak of Telford, PA; three grandchildren, Matthew, Bradley, and Amanda; and three great-grandchildren, Reyna, Leah, and Emma.

A devoted wife, mother, and grandmother, Nancy was an avid reader who enjoyed playing games on her iPad and was a loyal Philadelphia sports fan. She especially enjoyed supporting her husband Len during his bowling and trapshooting activities.

She was preceded in death by her first husband, Joseph Frank Novak; her son, Steven Novak; and her sister, Janet Abrams.

A visitation will be held on Tuesday, February 10, 2026, from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at Anders-Detweiler Funeral Home & Crematory, 130 East Broad Street, Souderton, PA 18964.
