Obituary

Nellie Marie (Stover) Ziegler, 84, of Souderton, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, March 27, 2020 at LifeQuest Nursing Center, Quakertown, PA.

She was the loving wife of Ernest Ziegler for 65 years. Nellie was born in Philadelphia, PA to the late Gerald Stover and the late Nellie (Weidemann) Stover.

She was a graduate of Souderton Area High School class of 1954.

Nellie was a life member of Grace Bible Church, Souderton, PA.

Her main focus was being a loving wife to Ernie. Nellie also had part-time jobs such as being a Welcome Wagon Hostess and working on the ambulance crew. She and Ernie also took old windows and transformed them into beautiful mirrors, calling their business, "This Old Window."

Devotion to God and family were Nellie's greatest joys. Her hobbies included crocheting rugs, painting furniture, gardening, yard sales, coloring, baking, cooking, decorating, writing and Pa Dutch Fraktur. Nellie enjoyed eating out with friends and family. She enjoyed church activities and being social. Nellie had a giving heart and spent her lifetime sharing the compassion she had for others.

In addition to her husband, Ernest, she is survived by her five daughters, Cyndi Spencer and husband Ed of Telford, PA, Jenni Schneider and husband James of Sellersville, PA; Mary Jo DeLaGarza and husband Paul of Grottoes, VA; Barb Williams and husband Billy of Ms. & Jennifer House of NY. Thirteen grandchildren; Jason Spencer, Jodi Carnes, Jeremy (and Jen) Spencer, Andrew (and Fiance Kristi) Schneider, Amanda (and Justin) Gross, Brandon, Brittany (and Matt) Sayre, Brianna (and Spencer) Schifflett, Daniel, Nathanael, Hannah, Benjamin, & Jon; Twelve great-grandchildren; Autumn, Jordan, Jorianna, Benjamin, Ethan, Levi, Rylee, Thomas, Michael, Samuel, Anna & Nicholas. Her sister, Bonnie Bergey and husband Donald of Souderton, PA; her brother, Phillip Stover and wife Jeanne of Mexico.

Nellie and Ernie have welcomed and loved many foster children into their home including: Lynette (Perky), Debbie, Donna, Doris, David (Hai), Kevin (Bong), Jimmy, Paul, and Melody.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held for Nellie at a later date.
