Oanh Kim Thi Do (Kohn) , 78, of Quakertown, PA, formerly of Viet Nam, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Monday, October 3 ^rd , 2022 at her residence.

She was the loving wife of David Kohn for 38 years.

Oanh Kim Thi Do was born in Thai Binh, Viet Nam.  After a perilous journey, she arrived as an immigrant in the United States of America on October 6, 1975 via Indiantown Gap, PA.  She became a naturalized citizen in 1995.

Oanh Kim Thi Do worked hard to provide a better future for her 6 children.  Stepping into a new country, she started out as a seamstress and made a good living.  Taking advantage of further education, she landed professional jobs including a large stint of her career working as a technician / inspector at a pharmaceutical company.  She worked there for 25 years with pride.  Her passion for her work pushed her well past her retirement age, finally retiring in 2016.

Oanh Kim Thi Do was a member of the Chua Linh Quang Buddhist Temple in Telford, PA. She enjoyed travelling around the world, fishing, knitting, and spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She enjoyed conversating with others and talked about family and life. She enjoyed the new family she made at her dialysis treatments. She was always friendly to others and those within the community and was cherished by many.

In addition to her husband, David Kohn, she is lovingly survived by her: two sons, Marcus Nguyen of Quakertown, PA and Anthony Nguyen of Philadelphia, PA; her three daughters, Kim Moskowitz of Souderton, PA, Loan Alexander of Schwenksville, PA and Phuong Norkevich of Easton, PA; her six grandchildren, Hayden, Dylan, Amy, Brian, Charles, and Joseph and her four great-grandchildren, Skylar, Silas, Parker, and Caroline.

She was preceded in death by: her father, mother and two brothers in Viet Nam, and daughter, Ngan Luvender.

The viewing will be held on Friday, October 14 ^th , 2022 at Anders-Detweiler Funeral Home & Crematory from 4:00 pm – 8:00 pm. A Buddhist service will be held at 5:00 pm by the Minh Dang Quang Temple. The funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 15 ^th , 2022 at Anders-Detweiler Funeral Home & Crematory from 7:30 am – 10:30 am. A Buddhist Service will be held at 9:00 am by the Minh Dang Quang Temple. Please join us for a memorial service honoring Oanh Kim Thi Do's life.

Burial will take place at Trinity Cemetery of Telford, 222 East Broad Street, Telford, PA 18969.
