Obituary

Olga (Serbin) Prem , 99, of Telford, PA, and formerly of Gaithersburg, MD, passed away peacefully on Sunday, March 23, 2025, at her home.

Olga was the beloved wife of the late John Prem, with whom she shared 31 years of marriage. She was born in Philadelphia, PA, to the late Joseph Serbin and the late Katherine (Harbonowitz) Serbin.

For over 30 years, Olga worked as an accountant for the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC) in Washington, DC.

While in Washington, she was a devoted member of Rockville Assembly of God. Olga had an active role in the church, where she taught Sunday school, played the piano, and directed the choir. In her later years, she found a new church home at Hopewell Christian Fellowship in Telford, PA, where she continued to be a faithful attendee.

Olga had a wide range of interests, from watching Judge Judy to following the teachings of Dr. David Jeremiah. She was a dedicated sponsor of children through various Christian organizations, regularly sending items to children in need. Additionally, Olga traveled extensively and went on mission trips to both Alaska and Russia.

A kind, generous, and reserved woman of deep faith, Olga's love for Jesus was evident in everything she did. She was a dedicated prayer warrior, offering daily prayers for others right up until the end of her life. Olga was also an avid reader, especially of books that nourished her faith and deepened her love of God.

Family was of utmost importance to Olga. She is survived by numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, and great-great-nieces and great-great-nephews, as well as her sister-in-law, Bernice Serbin.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her two brothers, Joseph & John Serbin, her three sisters, Anna, Stephanie, & Ruth Serbin and John's wife Anne.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, May 2, 2025 at 10:30 am at Hopewell Christian Fellowship, 601 Hunsicker Road, Telford, PA 18969. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Hopewell Christian Fellowship.

A private burial will take place at George Washington Memorial Park, Plymouth Meeting, PA.
