Orpha Rosenberger Rickert, age 105, passed away peacefully on November 8, 2020, at The Community at Rockhill, Sellersville, PA.

She was born in Souderton, PA on March 21, 1915 and spent her entire life there, marrying her beloved husband Allen, raising her family, and fully enjoying relatives, lifelong friends, church and community.

She spent her life in service, not only to her family, but also to countless others. As a member of Zion Mennonite Church, she served as Sunday school teacher, trustee, quilter, and service committee member.  Orpha volunteered at the Care and Share Thrift Shop in Souderton and was honored for her efficiency, dependability, and devotion.

Orpha's passion for quilting and knitting provided not only an outlet for her creativity, but her quilts have become the cherished possessions of her children and grandchildren. Her knitting has provided caps for babies and shawls for nursing home residents.

She and her husband Allen moved to Rockhill in October 1996 when Al's health declined. Because of her devotion to staying active, she joined every activity that interested her: shuffleboard, bridge, Wii bowling, Bible study, swimming, Nutty Knitters, Legends Singing group, walking the beautiful grounds, and all the concerts, programs and events Rockhill offered, especially the ice cream socials.

Orpha will be remembered by those who knew and loved her for her generous and constant love and caring. She always lived the best life she could, helping others along the way.

She is survived by her children, D. Allen Rickert, Nancy Lima (David), Leigh Rickert (Laura), 12 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, and 2 great great grandchildren. She was predeceased  by her husband, Allen, Robin (infant daughter), parents Abram and Laura (Price) Rosenberger, brothers Leroy and Abram Rosenberger, and sisters Hilda Moyer, Ruth Blank and Laura Kulp.
