Obituary

Paul S. Hockman , 77, of Perkasie, PA went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, February 17, 2022 at his residence.

He was the loving husband of Edith L. (Husband) Hockman for 55 years. Paul was born in Sellersville, PA to the late Howard Hockman and the late Anna (Schantz) Hockman.

He graduated from Pennridge High School, class of 1962. Paul served in 1-W at the Elkhart General Hospital in Elkhart, IN. He worked as a dairy farmer and co-owned with his brother, John, the Penn View Farm in Hilltown, PA for 53 years.

Paul was a member of various farming and agricultural organizations. He was a life member of Blooming Glen Mennonite Church where he served as an usher, a Boy's club leader, and an MYF leader.

Paul loved spending time with his family. He enjoyed farming, watching sports especially football, hunting, traveling, and reading his Lancaster Farming newspaper.

Paul was a hardworking, honest, loving man who had a great sense of humor and was always willing to help others.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his son, Ronald P. Hockman & wife, Sheri of Perkasie, PA; his two daughters, Linda L. Allebach & husband, R. Brent of Harleysville, PA, Connie S. Freed & husband, Duane of Perkasie, PA; his 10 grandchildren; his two sisters, Ruth Yoder of Perkasie, PA, Lorraine Allebach of Perkasie, PA; and his brother, John Hockman & wife, Norma of Perkasie, PA.

In addition to his parents, Paul was preceded in death by his three brothers-in-law, Elmer Yoder, Jim Ruth, and Darwin Allebach.

A memorial service will be held on Friday, February 25, 2022 at 7:00 pm at Blooming Glen Mennonite Church, 713 Blooming Glen Road, Blooming Glen, PA 18911, followed by an informal visitation.

Burial will take place at Blooming Glen Mennonite Cemetery.
