Pauline S.
Wasser
Feb 19, 1929 — Feb 2, 2024
Pauline Slotter (Beer) Wasser , 94, of Quakertown, PA, formerly of Souderton, PA, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, February 2, 2024 at The Village at Lifequest in Quakertown, PA.
Pauline was the loving wife of Clarence M. Wasser for 37 years until the time of his death in 1985. She was born in Bedminster Township, Bucks County, PA to the late William H. Beer, Sr., and Carrie Mae (Slotter) Beer.
Pauline grew up on the family farm with her seven siblings. After graduating eighth grade from Center School in Bedminster Township, she attended Marenello Beauty School in Philadelphia. Pauline was the youngest graduate of the beauty school at the time of her graduation. She went on to work in many salons in the Quakertown/Souderton/Harleysville area. Pauline was also the hairstylist for Hunsicker/Anders-Detweiler Funeral Home for over 68 years.
Other places of employment for Pauline were Harleysville Insurance and Souderton Area School District, where she worked in the Food Service Departments. She loved being around people and helping wherever needed. Other odd jobs were babysitting and cleaning. Pauline loved to bake, cook, work on crafts, do jigsaw puzzles, sing and play the piano. Other past times were gardening, puzzle books and spending time with neighbors and friends.
Pauline was a life-time member of St. Matthews Evangelical Lutheran Church (Keller's Church) in Perkasie, PA. She played the piano for Sunday School, sang in the church choir for over 56 years and played in the bell choir. She also sang for many years in the Zion Choral Society and the Pennridge Cluster Choir.
Pauline did some traveling in her lifetime to a few US states, Nassau, and Germany. But mostly she enjoyed being with family, especially her two granddaughters, Anita and Caroline. Holiday events were always the best.
Pauline is survived by her two children, Donna J. Brown and husband, Steven, of Telford, and Ronald E. Wasser and his wife, Diane, of Berwick, PA, and her two granddaughters, Anita Brown of Schwenksville, and Caroline Wasser of Pottsville.
In addition to her parents and husband, Pauline is predeceased by her sisters Ella Hess, Florence Detweiler, and Virginia Bishop, her brothers, Howard H. Beer, Joseph H. Beer, William H. Beer, Jr., and Kenneth S. Beer.
A viewing will be held on Friday, February 9 at St. Matthew's Evangelical Lutheran Church, 3668 Ridge Road, Perkasie, PA 18944 from 10:00am to 11:00am, followed by a funeral service at 11:00am. Interment will take place at the church cemetery following the service.
