Peter Latief Nashed Basta , 38, of Hatfield, PA went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, October 8, 2023 at Grand View Hospital.

He was the loving husband of Marina Abdo. Peter was born in Egypt to the late Latief Nashed and Salwa Gabra Nashed.

Peter was employed as an accountant during his time in Egypt. After coming to The United States in 2017, he was employed as a Machine Operator for Americold of Hatfield, PA for six years.

Peter was a member of St. Mary & St. Kyrillos Coptic Orthodox Church.

Throughout his life, Peter enjoyed many hobbies and pastimes. He will be remembered as a devoted father and husband that had a great sense of humor and was always willing to help those in need. As a man with great ambition, Peter always dreamed big.

In addition to his wife, Marina, and his mother, Salwa, Peter is survived by his son, Mark Basta, his three daughters, Lucinda Basta of Hatfield, PA, Emma Basta, and Emily Basta, all of Hatfield, PA; his brother, Fady Latief Nashed and his two Sisters, Rania Latief Nashed and Erein Latief Nashed, all of Egypt.

A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, October 11, 2023 at 11:00 am at St. Mary & St. Kyrillos Coptic Orthodox Church, 2500 Unionville Pike, Hatfield, Pennsylvania 19440.

Burial will take place at Whitemarsh Memorial Park, Ambler, PA.
