Obituary

Phyllis K. (Kundla) Carota , 87, of Lansdale, Pennsylvania, formerly of Collegeville and Lansdale, entered into rest on Friday, July 10, 2026, at Horsham Center for Jewish Life in North Wales, Pennsylvania.

Phyllis was the beloved wife of the late Martin Lawrence Carota, with whom she shared 29 wonderful years of marriage. Born in Taylor, Pennsylvania, she was the daughter of the late Peter Kundla and the late Helen (Skierkowski) Kundla.

A 1955 graduate of DuPont High School, Phyllis built a successful career in billing and office management. She worked in the billing department for the former Martin Century Farms, later known as Lehigh Valley Dairy, in Lansdale, and later for Brooks Instrument, LLC in Hatfield. She concluded her career as a Billing Manager for the former Freelance Inc. in Willow Grove, where she dedicated more than 15 years of service.

Phyllis found joy in life's simple pleasures. She was an avid reader who loved working on jigsaw puzzles, browsing flea markets, collecting dolls and Hummel figurines, and visiting the casinos in Las Vegas. She also enjoyed buying and selling items on eBay, a hobby that combined her love of collecting with her entrepreneurial spirit.

Above all, Phyllis was devoted to her family. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother whose kindness, generosity, warm heart, and wonderful sense of humor touched everyone who knew her. She will be remembered for her friendly nature, her laughter, and the love she shared so freely with her family and friends.

She is survived by her son, Stephen Justin Boos and his wife, Lone, of Lansdale, Pennsylvania; her daughter-in-law, Sheila A. Carota of Quakertown, Pennsylvania; her six grandchildren, Crystal, Justin, Currie, Chelsea, Jazmyn, and Aaron; and eight cherished great-grandchildren.

In addition to her husband and parents, Phyllis was preceded in death by her son, Michael P. Carota.

At the family's request, no services will be held.
