Ralph L. Hunsberger , 87, of Chalfont, PA went home to be with the Lord on Monday, February 28, 2022 at Doylestown Hospital.

He was the loving husband of Ina E. (Moyer) Hunsberger for 64 years. Ralph was born in Hilltown Twp., PA to the late Horace Hunsberger and the late Rachel (Leatherman) Hunsberger.

He graduated from Deep Run Valley High School (a one room school house) in Blooming Glen, PA. Ralph graduated from Goshen College with a bachelor of arts in Mathematics degree He then graduated from West Chester State College with a master's degree in Education.

Ralph worked his way through college by working for the former Derstine & Swartley, Inc. in Telford where he drove truck and operated heavy equipment in the quarry. While teaching and going to school, he worked as a farmer and property manager for Robert Gray's Pine Hill Farm in Chalfont. Ralph worked as a math teacher for Central Bucks West and then as a math department head for Central Bucks East for a total of 35 years. Lastly, he taught math and computer science for Bucks County Community College up until his passing.

Ralph was a life member of Blooming Glen Mennonite Church where he was a Sunday school teacher, elder, and a chairman of the elder committee. He was an active member in math organizations at the local, state, and national levels.

Ralph loved spending the summer with his grandchildren. He enjoyed gardening, reading, and computer games. In his younger years, Ralph was a track official, class sponsor, and athletic director at Central Bucks East. Currently, he and his wife enjoyed watching PBS and British TV shows.

Ralph was a hardworking, caring man who was a devoted caretaker for his wife, had a dry sense of humor, and had a servant's heart.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his two sons, David J. Hunsberger & wife, Tina of Mifflintown, PA, Benjamin A. Hunsberger & wife, Beth of Shipshewana, IN; his eight grandchildren – Nathan, Abram, Joshua, Isaac, Amanda, Hiram, Micah, & Hannah; and his great-granddaughter, Maddison Taylor Hunsberger.

In addition to his parents, Ralph was preceded in death by his two brothers, Henry Hunsberger & Daniel Hunsberger.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Saturday, March 5, 2022 at 2:15 pm at Blooming Glen Mennonite Cemetery, 713 Blooming Glen Road, Blooming Glen, PA 18911, followed by an informal visitation at 3:00 pm.

A private inurnment will take place at Blooming Glen Mennonite Cemetery.
