Ralph James Margerum , 92, of Souderton formerly of Revere, PA went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, October 4th, 2022 at his residence.

He was the loving husband of Catherine "Kitty" (West) Margerum for 72 years. Ralph was born in Philadelphia, PA to the late Ralph Norman Margerum and the late Florence Lillian (Hurst) Margerum.

Ralph was employed as a Shear Operator for Winston Industries, Willow Grove, PA for many years before retiring in 1995.

He was a faithful member of Christ Community Church, Plumsteadville, Pa.

Ralph served as communications officer in the US Army during the Korean War where as a Sergeant he earned several metals including a Bronze Star.  As a young boy he developed a fascination with racing pigeons which became his lifelong hobby well into his later years.  Ralph was a longtime member of the North Penn Pigeon Racing Club and had won many races with his birds spanning thousands of flying miles at a time.  He also enjoyed many years of family camping at Rickett's Glen State Park as well as boating and fishing.

In addition to his wife Kitty, he is survived by his daughter, Diane L. Palmer & husband Thomas of West Union, SC; his two sons, Ralph James Margerum Jr & wife Kelly of Palmetto, FL and Eric Marc Margerum & wife Heather of Perkasie, PA; his six grandchildren, Jennifer, Nicole, Brandon, Tiffany, Brandy and David; and his five great-grandchildren, Nathan, Jeromy, Tyler, Airel and Penny.

A Graveside Service will be held on Monday, October 17th, 2022 at 10:30 am at Washington Crossing National Cemetery, 830 Highland Road, Newtown, PA 18940.

Burial will take place at Washington Crossing National Cemetery, Newtown, PA.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in his memory to: Christ Community Church, 5511 Easton Road, Plumsteadville, PA 18949.
