Ray Dettra, 88, of Sellersville, PA, formerly of Lansdale entered into rest on Saturday, June 17, 2023.

He was the loving husband of Beverly Ann Dettra (Hall) for 66 years. Ray was born in Hatfield, PA to the late Harold M. Dettra and the late Hannah Leidy Dettra.

Ray graduated from Hatfield High School, class of 1952 and graduated from Pierce Business School, class of 1954. After Graduation he worked at the family business Dettra Radio, TV and Appliances. He enlisted in the Army in 1957 and spent most of the next 3 years in Europe. Following his military service he was employed as an electronic technician for AEL until his retirement.

Throughout his life, Ray enjoyed traveling across North America, gardening, and held a strong interest in personal investments. His most memorable experience was traveling through Europe with his wife Beverly while he was stationed in Bavaria.

Ray is survived by his sister, Carol D. Godshall of Telford, PA; his three nephews,

Terry Lee and wife Michelle Godshall of Pottstown, PA, Kevin Ray and wife Amy Godshall of Lafayette Hill, PA, and Ronald Scott and wife Sarah Godshall of Pennsburg, PA, as well as his niece, Susan Schueck of Telford, PA.

A Graveside Service will be held on Friday, June 23, 2023 at 11:00 am at Immanuel Leidy's Church Cemetery, 276 W. Cherry Lane, Souderton, Pennsylvania 18964.
