Richard Grygiel , 81, of Lansdale, formerly of Souderton, passed away on Saturday, December 3, 2022, at Dock Woods Community, Lansdale, PA.

He was the loving husband of Catherine (Zalesak) Grygiel for 54 years. Richard was born in Poland to the late Stanley Grygiel and the late Helena (Bigos) Grygiel.

A graduate of Thomas Edison High School, Richard served in the US Army. He attended Temple University and received his BS in Electrical Engineering in 1980.

Richard was a Senior Electrical Designer for over 40 years for Philadelphia Electric retiring in 2014.

He was a member of the Warsaw Dancers of Philadelphia and enjoyed all types of dancing throughout his life. An avid sportsman, Richard enjoyed a variety of activities including tennis, bicycling, kayaking, and skiing.

In addition to his wife Catherine, he is survived by his daughter Karen M. Cleet of Germantown, MD, his four grandchildren Colin, Kelsey, Oliver and Spencer and his sister Donna D. Storino of Philadelphia, PA.

He was preceded in death by his brother, Walter Grygiel.

A Committal Service will be held on Thursday, December 22, 2022 at 2:00pm at Washington Crossing National Cemetery, 830 Highland Road, Newtown, Pennsylvania 18940.
