Richard R. Hunsberger , 93, of Souderton, formerly of Lansdale, PA entered into rest on Friday, September 2, 2022, at Souderton Mennonite Homes.

He was the loving husband of the late Mary Ellen (Bast) Hunsberger for 49 years. Richard was born in Morwood, PA to the late Paul S. Hunsberger and the late Edna (Moyer) Hunsberger.

Richard attended the Morwood School through the eighth grade and was employed as a Machinist for A.O. Tile, Lansdale, PA for 44 years.

He was a member of Blooming Glen Mennonite Church.

Richard had a great wit and dry sense of humor and always enjoyed talking to people. In his later years at Souderton Mennonite Home, he could often be found outside on his power chair or visiting other residents in health care. Richard was especially proud of and loved his grandchildren!  He enjoyed domestic and international traveling, hunting and crossword puzzles.

In addition to his son, Steven and wife Charlotte, he is survived by his three grandchildren, Colin, Ian and Lily all of Telford, PA: his four brothers, Ronald & wife Mary Hunsberger of Souderton, PA, Donald & wife Sarah Hunsberger of Harrisonburg, VA, Arlin Hunsberger of Goshen, IN, and Merrill & wife Mabel Hunsberger of Waterloo, Ontario.

In addition to his wife Mary Ellen, he was preceded in death by his brother, Winfield Hunsberger, and his three sisters, Ruth Hunsberger, Rosa Alderfer and Katherine Seitz.

A visitation will be held on Saturday, September 17th, 2022, at Blooming Glen Mennonite Church, 713 Blooming Glen Road, Blooming Glen from 10:00 am to 11:00 am.  A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, following the visitation.
