Richard R. McCarty , 88, of Harleysville, PA formerly of Dover, DE entered into rest on Sunday, April 17, 2022 at his residence.

He was the loving husband of Faye (Kerr) McCarty for 34 years. Rich was born in Omaha, Nebraska to the late Wilfred McCarty and Bertha (Klauschie) McCarty.

Throughout his working lifetime he was employed as an Engineer in the food industry.

A devoted husband, father and grandfather, he will be remembered for his grumpiness by the great grandchildren.

Rich was an avid college football fan, especially for the Nebraska Corn Huskers.

He also enjoyed going to the casinos in Dover, DE.

In addition to his wife, Faye, he is survived by his three sons, Mark McCarty and wife Julie of Virginia Beach, VA, Sean McCarty and wife Donna of Amarillo, TX, and Matthew Paul and wife Susan of Thousand Oaks, CA; his three daughters, Debbie Burton, and  Becky  Hollabaugh and husband Lonnie both of Amarillo, TX, and Deanne Mausolf and husband Vince of Hawley, PA; his two brothers, Bill  McCarty and wife Linda of Black Hawk, SD and  Don McCarty and wife Heidi of St. Paul, NE.

He was preceded in death by his son, Timothy McCarty, his granddaughter, Savannah Banfiel, and his sister, Darlene Tuma.
