Richard "Rick" Paul Behrig , 66, of Souderton, PA passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, June 15, 2024 at his residence.

He was the loving husband of the late Sandra (Powell) Behrig for 30 years. Rick was born in Abington, PA to the late Peter T. and the late Susan Gwendolyn (Paules) Behrig.

He graduated from Abington High School, class of 1975. Rick was employed as a Forman for H & K. Group, Skippack, PA for 25+ years retiring in 2020. Prior to this time he was employed with Highways Materials, INC, King of Prussia, PA.

Rick was a member of the Loyal Order of the Moose lodge # 1539, Sellersville, PA. He attended St. Agnes Roman Catholic Church many years ago when his children were small.

Rick and his late wife, Sandra, were avid travelers making many trips in his Mustang to Virginia Beach, Lancaster Countryside, and the Pocono Mountains. He was a diehard Philadelphia Sports fan, and enjoyed music, especially the rock music from the 70's and 80's,

He is survived by his son, Daniel Patrick Behrig of Allentown, PA, his stepdaughter, Kristin Anne Leidy of Norristown, PA; and his former spouse, Kimberly (McCoy) Behrig of Cape May, NJ.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Sandra J. Behrig, his son, Richard James Behrig, his stepson, Eric Robert Leidy, his sister, Patricia Dougherty, and his two brothers, David and Peter Behrig.

A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, July 13, 2024, at 11:00 am at Anders-Detweiler Funeral Home & Crematory, 130 E. Broad St., Souderton, PA 18964 where friends may meet with the family from 10:00 am to 11:00 am.
