Richard "Rick" Walter Wismer , 77, of Souderton, PA; formerly of Sellersville, PA went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, September 6, 2020 at Souderton Mennonite Homes.

He was born in Philadelphia, PA to the late Lile G. Wismer and the late Elizabeth (Walter) Wismer.

Rick attended Overbrook School for the Blind in Philadelphia for 3 years. He then graduated from Royer Greaves School for the Blind in Paoli, PA. Rick was employed as a Rug Weaver for SCUBCO (Service Center of Upper Bucks County) in Sellersville, PA for 27 years.

He was a member of the Busy Bee's which was an organization for the blind sponsored by the local Lion's Club. Rick was a member of Finland Mennonite Church.

He enjoyed listening to Christian music and singing. Rick also enjoyed dining out. He loved animals especially cats and dogs.

Even though born blind, Rick was blessed with a great memory. He could remember people by the sound of their voice even after many years of not being with them.

Rick is survived by his cousins.

A graveside service will be held on Friday, September 11, 2020 at 11:00 am at Sellersville Cemetery, 25 E. Church St., Sellersville, Pennsylvania 18960.

Burial will take place at Sellersville Cemetery.
