Robert "Bob" Frank Lutz, Jr. , 65, of Souderton, Pennsylvania went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, June 11, 2020 at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital.

He was the loving husband of Susan Marie (Johnson) Lutz for 44 years. Bob was born in Lansdale, Pennsylvania to the late Robert Frank Lutz, Sr. and the late Nancy (Malantonio) Lutz.

Throughout his working lifetime, he was employed as a machinist. Bob worked for Porter Instruments in Hatfield for 20 years and then for CECO / Met-Pro Environmental in Telford for more than 15 years.

He was a member of St. Maria Goretti Catholic Church.

Bob loved spending time with his family and had a love of animals. He rescued many over his lifetime. He loved taking his dogs on treasure hunting walks along the railroad tracks with his grandson, Max. He enjoyed being in nature,fishing,boating, and archery and passed on his love of these things to his kids. He especially loved visiting places like Bushkill Falls, High Knob Overlook, and Devil's Hole. Bob enjoyed woodworking, which came in handy when his grandson Miles needed a Pinewood Derby car for Scouts. He inspired his daughter Kellie to become a cabinet maker. He enjoyed watching the Phillies & Eagles with his son. He loved working on cars and watching muscle car shows. Bob was an accomplished drummer and mentor to his grandson, Nathaniel, who now plays the drums too. He was a true handyman and jack of all trades. Bob was a hardworking honest man who had a good sense of humor.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his three daughters, Jennifer Lynn (Lutz) Bowman & husband, Keith of Perkasie, PA, Shannon Marie Lutz & companion, Steve Geiger of Sellersville, PA, Kellie Ann Lutz & companion, Andrew Valentine of Red Hill, PA; his son, Joseph Michael Lutz of Souderton, PA; his four grandsons Konnor Lewis Valentine of Hatfield, PA, Maximus Lewis Valentine of Red Hill, PA, Miles Parker Bowman of Perkasie, PA, Nathaniel Joseph Geiger of Sellersville, PA; his two sisters, Donna Brennecke & husband, Steven of Harleysville, PA, Sandra Johnston of Souderton, PA; and his brother, James Lutz of Reading, PA.

A memorial service will be held at a later date and time at Anders-Detweiler Funeral Home & Crematory, 130 E. Broad St., Souderton, Pennsylvania 18964.
