Robert P. Luciani , was taken from us too soon, passing away on November 22nd, 2020, at the age of 75, after a short illness. He is survived by his wife of 38 years Nancy, his sister Rossana, four children Robert, Gina, Susan and Marie, his grandchildren Giovanni, Jeremy, Giordano, Gino, Julia, Kirra, Cadence, and Dylan, his son-in-law Tom, brothers in-law Tom and Bill, sister in-law Lisa, and first wife Lillian.

The son of the late Elena and Gino, Roberto Pietro Luciani was born in Rome, Italy in July of 1945. He and his parents immigrated to the United States in 1954, where they settled in the Bronx, New York City after a year in Cloverdale, California. Graduating from Aviation High School in Queens in 1964, he began working for Bell Telephone before he enlisted and served with the US Navy during the Vietnam War as an airplane mechanic.  He rejoined Bell Telephone in 1972 and completed his 2 years of Naval Reserves at the Willow Grove Naval Base while settling in Bucks County where he raised his family.

Better known as "Lucy" to his friends, he was a loving, smart, dedicated, creative and gentle man. He spent his entire 40-year work career as an employee of Bell Telephone for which he was proud to be the self-proclaimed "last repairman a customer would ever see."  Although never completing higher technical education, he had great common sense and ingenuity at work and in the home.  Bell Telephone credited him for 3 patents which involved digging tools that eliminated safety hazards when placing underground cable.  He rebuilt and improved on his family home multiple times, liked building things for people, and worked residential construction projects part time in the 70's, 80's and 90's.  During his retirement he enjoyed working delivering automobile parts for Bumper to Bumper.  He was an avid outdoorsman who loved hunting, fishing, boating, and camping.  He was an artist and excelled at vegetable gardening.  He adored nature television shows and puzzles.  He loved silly jokes, cooking, and worrying about everyone.

Bob and Nancy married in 1982, and she was by his side at the time of his passing.  He was always happiest when with his family. A special thank you to all the family and friends for their loving care and support during our trying time. He was truly loved.

Memorial Services will be held at the convenience of the family.

Burial will take place at Washington Crossing National Cemetery.
