Robert "Rob" William Roy , 87, of Slatington, PA; formerly of Souderton, PA went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, September 5, 2020 at St. Luke's Hospital - Lehighton Campus.

He was the loving husband of Darcy LeAnn (Lund) Roy for 17 years. Robert was born in Philadelphia, PA to the late William George Roy and the late Florence (Powers) Roy.

He was a self-employed salesman doing business as 'Roy's New & Used Auto Sales' in Souderton for more than 10 years.

Robert was a member of the Warren Royer American Legion Post #234 in Souderton and a member of the American Legion Post #191 in Emmaus, PA.

He served in the United States Army during the Korean War and the Occupation of Japan. Robert was a devoted husband and he loved the Lord. He was a hardworking and honest man.

In addition to his wife, Robert is survived by his two sons, Robert Howard Roy & wife, Pamela of Emmaus, PA, William George Roy & wife, Danelle of Zionsville, PA; his six grandchildren – Timothy, Heidi, Robert II, Brandon, Jessica, & Will; his great-grandson – Robert III; and his brother, Ronald Roy of Cowanesque, PA.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Brian Lee Roy; his daughter, Kathy Roy; his two brothers, William & George Roy; and his three sister, Florence Bishko, Doris Kent, & Margie Tessarvich.

A viewing will be held on Tuesday, September 15, 2020 at Anders-Detweiler Funeral Home & Crematory, 130 E. Broad St., Souderton, Pennsylvania 18964 from 10:00 am - 11:00 am, followed by a funeral service at 11:00.

Burial will take place at Ivy Hill Cemetery in Philadelphia.
