Ronald "Ron" Marvin Moyer, 75, of Harleysville, PA; formerly of Souderton, PA went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, September 6, 2023 at Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania.

Ron was the loving husband of Kathleen "Kathy" A. (Petrowski) Moyer for 24 years. He was born in Allentown, PA to the late Marvin Moyer and the late Ruth (Gates) Moyer.

Ron graduated from Upper Perk High School in Red Hill, PA, class of 1966. He then graduated Shippensburg University, class of 1970 where he received his bachelor's degree.

Ron worked as an insurance agent for the former Harleysville Insurance in Harleysville, PA, as a regional insurance sales manager for Cigna in Allentown, PA, and then as a construction bond manager for Body-Borneman Insurance in Boyertown, PA.

He was a member of the Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation of Troy, Montana.

Ron was a member of Immanuel Leidy's Church where he served as the former president of consistory and a member of the spiritual council, an adult Sunday school teacher, and as a cook for congregational meals. He also taught a financial freedom & new membership class, was a coach for the Ladies of Leidy's softball team, and organized the mission's auction for many years.

Ron was an avid hunter who loved being in nature and hunting out West, especially with his best friend, Dave Guntz. He was passionate about his family and loved spending time with his children and grandchildren. Ron was a community softball coach for the Souderton area. His favorite thing was annual family trips to various beaches in New Jersey and Florida. Ron enjoyed watching the Phillies and EAGLES. In his high school years, he enjoyed playing basketball

Ron was a devout Christian man and a loving husband, father and grandfather with a generous spirit which was evident to all who knew him. He was always willing to help both friends and strangers in their time of need.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his two daughters, Cheryl A. Hall & husband, Edward of Souderton, PA, Wendy M. Murphy & husband, Ken of Harleysville, PA; his grandson, Samuel H. Murphy of Harleysville, PA; his three granddaughters, Makenna D. Murphy of Harleysville, PA, Abigail M. Hall of Souderton, PA, and Allison M. Hall of Souderton, PA; his sister, Nancy Grippon of Pennsburg, PA; and his sister-in-law, Rita Moyer of Sarasota, FL.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his former wife, Bonnie Y. Moyer; his brother, Scott Moyer; his son, Daryl J. Moyer; and his brother-in-law, Roger Grippon.

A viewing will be held on Wednesday, September 13, 2023 at Immanuel Leidy's Church, 273 W. Cherry Lane, Souderton, PA 18964 from 2:00 pm - 4:00 pm, followed by a funeral service promptly at 4:00 pm.

Burial will take place at Immanuel Leidy's Church Cemetery.
