Roscoe R. Leatherman , 92, of Souderton, PA went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, July 24, 2022 at Souderton Mennonite Homes.

He was the loving husband of the late Cleta (Moyer) Leatherman for 54 years. Roscoe was born in New Britain Twp., PA to the late Franklin Leatherman and Florence (Ruth) Leatherman.

He graduated from Eastern Mennonite High School, Harrisonburg, VA in the class of 1947.

Roscoe was self-employed as a Commission Merchant for 32 years in the Warminster, Hatboro-Horsham area.  He also worked for Edgar M. Landis Meats, Franconia and Godshall's Meats, Telford, PA.

He was a life-long member of the Line Lexington Mennonite Church, where he served as a Sunday School superintendent, teacher, and youth leader.

Roscoe enjoyed traveling with family and friends to various places throughout the United States and camping at Spruce Lake Retreat.  A few of his favorite activities were ping pong and playing cards with friends.

He is survived by his two daughters, Cheryl A. Cassel and husband Timothy of Harrisonburg, VA, and Linda Kulp and husband Robert of Telford, PA; his son, James Leatherman and wife Patricia of Sellersville, PA; his grandson, Philip Cassel and his partner, Laura Miller and her son Solomon, his three granddaughters, Melissa Ritter (Ryan), Ashley Grutta (Christopher) and Megan Childs (Kevin); his eight great-grandsons, Everett, John, Adam, Isaac, Seth, Ben, Luke and Logan and a great-granddaughter Kieva; his sister, Lois Musselman (Henry).

In addition to his wife, Cleta, he was preceded in death by three sisters, Kathryn Mininger, Sarah Leatherman  and Pauline Leatherman.

A Funeral Service will be held on Friday, July 29, 2022, at 11:00 am at Line Lexington Mennonite Church, 80 Hilltown Pike, Line Lexington, PA 18932. Friends may meet with the family prior to service from 10:00 am to time of service.

Burial will take place at Line Lexington Mennonite Cemetery.
