Russell M. Young , 86, of Souderton, PA went home to be with the Lord on Friday, November 20, 2020 at Souderton Mennonite Homes.

He was the loving husband of the late Mildred (Blank) Young for 59 years, born in Harleysville, PA to the late Allen B. and Maggie (Moyer) Young.

Married in June1956, he and his late wife, Mildred served in 1-W in Brattleboro, VT. 1956-1958

Russell was employed as a Plumber for William B. Lewis Plumbing and S & S Plumbing of Elroy, PA until retirement.

Russell was a lifetime member of the Towamencin Mennonite Church, where he was involved with various committees and served as a greeter and usher.

He enjoyed gardening and growing flowers, loved going to the Southern Gospel Concerts, and many trips to Lancaster County.

He is survived by his two sons, Keith Allen Young wife Shirley of Athens, PA and Douglas Kent  Young wife Tonya of Telford, PA; his three daughters, Renita Kay Myers of Telford, PA, Sharla Renee Padilla husband Luis of Hinton, VA and Kristin Beth Wunderlich husband Mark of Quakertown, PA; his nine grandchildren, Amber, Trish, Emily, Ashley, Andrew, Shaelynn, Sarah, Linnae and Hannah: his two brothers, Earl M. Young of Harleysville, PA and Steward Young wife Kathleen of Red Hill, PA.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Mildred K. Young, a son-in-law, Gerald Lynn Kolb, a brother, Harold Young and a sister, Betty Derstine.

A Funeral Service will be held on Friday, November 27, 2020 at 11:00 am at Towamencin Mennonite Church, 1980 Sumneytown Pike, Kulpsville, PA 19443 where friends may meet with the family from 10:00am – 11:00am.

Burial will take place at Towamencin Mennonite Cemetery.
