Ruth H. (Schueck) Gehman , 93, of Sellersville, PA; formerly of Souderton, PA went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, October 1, 2024 at The Community at Rockhill.

Ruth was the loving wife of the late Nevin K. Gehman for 49 years. She was born in Franconia Twp., PA to the late Joseph Schueck and the late Beulah (Hughes) Schueck.

Ruth began working as a seamstress in the Telford area. She was then employed as a sorter and sample maker for the former American Olean Tile, Inc. in Lansdale, PA for 38 years.

Ruth was a longtime member of Zion Mennonite Church where she was an active member in her Sunday school class and was very supportive of the youth. She was a volunteered at the Care & Share Thrift Shoppes in Souderton for 25 years.

Ruth was an avid reader especially of the Bible. She loved the Lord, Gospel music, going to concerts, and traveling with her late husband. She enjoyed word search puzzles, crocheting, cooking, baking, freezing and canning. In her younger years, her and her husband liked to ride motorcycles and shoot archery together.

Ruth was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great-grandmother. She was a hardworking woman who was very giving and had a good sense of humor.

Ruth is survived by her two sons, Howard Gehman & wife, Susan of Sellersville, PA, Nevin Gehman of Sellersville, PA; her daughter, Robin Landis & husband, Ted of Hatfield, PA; her six grandchildren, Michele Wentz & husband, Vincent of Hollywood, MD, Lynda Steskal & husband, Jeffrey of Quakertown, PA, Joshua Landis & wife, Jennifer of Telford, PA, Karissa Mokriski & husband, William of Quakertown, PA, Rebekah Landis & companion, Drew Swartley of Willow Grove, PA, Jesikah Shoup & husband, Stefan of Lumber Bridge, NC; her 13 great-grandchildren – Matthew Wentz & wife, Jessica, Shawn Wentz, Kailyn Gehman, Kelly & Ashleigh Wayne, Jakob, Juliana, & Jonathan Landis, Nolan & Brenna Mokriski, Teddy, Kinsley, & Wylder Shoup; and her great-great-granddaughter, Mattison Wentz.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her son, Michael Scott Gehman; her daughter-in-law, Karen Gehman; her grandson, Michael Leon Gehman; her 10 brothers, Henry, Nelson, & Howard Schueck, Ernest, Lester, Wilmer, Abram, Howard, Russell, & Harvey Bolton; and her nine sisters, Viola Detweiler, Laura Hrabina, Edna High, Eva Detweiler, Kathryn Dietz, Pearl Benner, Irene Myers, Irene Bolton, & Arlene Bolton.

A viewing will be held on Saturday, October 5, 2024 from 10:00 am – 11:00 am at The Community at Rockhill, 3250 State Road, Sellersville, PA 18960, followed by a funeral service at 11:00 am.

Burial will take place at Immanuel Leidy's Church Cemetery.
