Ruth Agnes (Bolton) Houpt , 92, of Green Lane, formerly of Coopersburg, PA entered into rest on Thursday, February 22, 2024 at St. Luke's Hospice House, Bethlehem, PA.

She was the loving wife of the late Clyde Walter Houpt for 66 years. Ruth was born in Sellersville, PA to the late LeRoy C. Bolton and the late Agnes W. (Niedrist) Bolton.

She attended Souderton High School class of 1950.

She was a former employee of the Telford Pharmacy during the late 40's.

Ruth was employed as a Manager for Care & Share / Souderton during the 80's and 90's years.

She was a member of Perkiomenville Mennonite Church, where she enjoyed the ladies quilting and sewing circle. Ruth was very active with the care group.

A devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Ruth was an avid reader, enjoyed baking, tending to her flower and vegetable gardens. She will be remembered as a generous, strong, and independent lady.

Ruth is survived by her son, Timothy Walter Houpt and wife Cyndie of Breinigsville, PA; her two daughters, Kathy Ann Rupert and husband Richard of Green Lane, PA, and Susan Dawn Panzarella of Slatington, PA; her ten grandchildren, Timothy, Steven, Tanya, Michelle, Holly, Pamela, Jeremy, April, Luke, and Lee and her twelve great-grandchildren, Trey, Lincoln, Kylie, Rebecca, Erica, Julia, Emily, Mikey, Destiny, Cody, Jax and Greyson.

In addition to her husband, Walter, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Lori Robin Herpel and her great-grandson, Ethan Angel.

A visitation will be held on Friday, March 8th, 2024 at Perkiomenville Mennonite Church, 1836 Gravel Pike, Perkiomenville, PA 18074 from 10:00 am to 11:00 am. A memorial service will follow at 11 am.

The burial will take place at Washington Crossing National Cemetery, Newtown, PA in the near future.
