Ruth A. (Kepner) Mathiasen , 89, of Telford, formerly of Jeffersonville, PA peacefully departed this life on Saturday, May 21, 2022 in Telford, PA surrounded by family.

Ruth was born in Havertown, PA to the late Walter William and Mildred Isabel (Smith) Kepner.

She was a graduate of Haverford High School class of 1950 and a member of the Temple Lutheran Church of Haverford, PA.

A devoted mother and grandmother, Ruth was extremely patriotic, enjoyed gardening, bird watching and singing in choral groups. She was very fond of all animals, with a particular soft spot for dogs. She worked for a time at the Valley Forge Military Academy.

She is survived by her two daughters, Joanne R. Mathiasen of Perkasie, PA, and Judi A. Mathiasen and her fiancé Mike Miller of Riviera Beach, FL; and her five grandchildren, Zachary, Brett and Ethan Gemzik and Tyler and Kylie LoPorto.

She was preceded in death by her ex–husband, Math W. Mathiasen and her brother, Walter W. (Bill) Kepner, Jr.
