Ruth (Hendricks) Moyer , 95, of Souderton, PA; formerly of Harleysville, PA went home to be with the Lord on Monday, January 23, 2023 at Souderton Mennonite Homes where she resided since 2010.

She was the loving wife of the late Raymond M. Moyer for 59 years. Ruth was born in Hilltown Township, PA to the late Clarence Hendricks and the late Martha (Gross) Hendricks.

She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Ruth worked as a house cleaner for the former Wireman Brothers in Franconia and later worked in the bakery department for the Family Heritage Restaurant in Franconia.

She was a member of Franconia Mennonite Church where she taught Vacation Bible School.

Ruth volunteered at the Souderton Mennonite Homes where she played the organ for the residents. She was also a volunteer at the Care & Share Thrift Shoppes in Souderton.

Ruth enjoyed making and selling crafts at local crafts shows. She also enjoyed scrapbooking, taking bus trips, photography especially of flowers, genealogy and family history. Ruth had the same pen pal for 85 years since she was a child.

She was a very sweet and quiet woman who was devoted to her family.

Ruth is survived by her son, Earl Moyer & wife, Betsy of Quakertown, PA; her daughter-in-law, Nancy Moyer of Souderton, PA; her five grandchildren - Martha Detweiler & husband, Adam, Rebecca DeFelice & husband, Michael, Tom Moyer & wife, Sara, Bob Moyer & wife, Kathleen, & Christina Yost & husband, Sam; her seven great-grandchildren - Laila & Melina Moyer, Lexie DeFelice, Colton & Elizabeth Detweiler, Cameron & Maddie Moyer; and her sister-in-law, Shirley Musselman & husband, Bruce of Souderton, PA.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her son, Glenn R. Moyer; her grandson, Philip Moyer; her three brothers, David, James, & Titus Hendricks; her three sisters-in-law, Nedra Hendricks, Irene Hendricks, & Marie Benner; and her brother-in-law, Charles Benner.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, January 28, 2023 at 2:00 pm at Souderton Mennonite Homes, 207 W. Summit Street, Souderton, Pennsylvania 18964.

A private burial will take place at Franconia Mennonite Cemetery.
