Obituary

Ruth S. (Roeder) Seasholtz , age 101, of Sellersville, Pennsylvania, formerly of Franconia Township and Kulpsville, PA, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, December 19, 2025, at The Community at Rockhill.

She was the beloved wife of the late Charles William Seasholtz, with whom she shared 41 years of marriage. Born in Souderton, Pennsylvania, Ruth was the daughter of the late Ralph Roeder and the late Carrie (Smith) Roeder-Smith.

Ruth graduated from East Greenville High School, class of 1942. She was employed as a Comptometer Operator for the former Central Penn National Bank in Philadelphia before dedicating her life to her family as a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.

A woman of strong faith, Ruth was a life member of Christ Lutheran Church in Harleysville for over 60 years. She was also a member of the Lamplighters Questers Chapter #117 in Lansdale. Ruth generously volunteered her time at Dock Terrace Community and the Heritage Museum in Harleysville.

Ruth enjoyed knitting, sewing, and quilting, and had a deep interest in local history and family genealogy research. She will be remembered as a caring, kind, and gracious woman who touched the lives of many.

She is survived by her two sons, Bill Seasholtz & wife, Christine of Hatfield, PA, and Robert S. Seasholtz & wife, Deborah of Green Lane, PA; her daughter, Beth E. Ritchie & husband, David of Elkton, FL; her seven grandchildren; and her six great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Linda C. Seasholtz and her sister, Florence Hunsberger.

A visitation will be held on Monday, December 29, 2025, from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at The Community at Rockhill, 3250 State Road, Sellersville, PA 18960, followed by a Celebration of Life Service at 11:00 a.m.

A private inurnment will take place at St. Mark's Lutheran Cemetery in Pennsburg.
