Obituary

Ruth E. (Dieterly) Uhrich , 90, of Pennsburg, PA went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, May 14, 2023 at her residence.

She was the loving wife of the late Robert "Bob" L. Uhrich for 48 years. Ruth was born in Akron, Ohio to the late Herbert Dieterly and the late Eva (Spidle) Dieterly.

She worked as an assembler for the former U.S. Gauge in Sellersville. Ruth then worked as a bookkeeper for her brother's construction business in Bethlehem, PA. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.

Ruth was a former member of First Church of the Brethren in Quakertown, PA and later attended the Community Bible Fellowship Church in Red Hill, PA. She also volunteered her time visiting shut-ins.

Ruth enjoyed cooking and dining out at the Shady Maple. She loved animals especially birds. Ruth loved watching and feeding the birds and stray kittens. She was an avid reader of the Bible, loved spending time in prayer, and sharing the Gospel with others.

Ruth was a caring, compassionate, steadfast woman who had a good sense of humor and loved spending time with her family.

She is survived by her six children: Diane L. Heller & husband, Augustus "Buddy" of Boyertown, PA, Bonnie S. Dameron & husband, James "Jamie" of East Greenville, PA, Don R. Blumenauer & wife, Lori of Towanda, PA, Tina M. Slack & husband, Lee of Pennsburg, PA, Robert G. Uhrich & wife, Jennifer of La Mesa, CA, Matthew J. Uhrich & wife, Stephanie of Harleysville, PA; her 23 grandchildren; and her 16 great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents and husband, Ruth was preceded in death by her two grandsons, Micah Troy & Jared James Dameron; her five brothers, Ernest Spidle, Herbert Dieterly, Harold Dieterly, Paul Dieterly, William Stanley Dieterly; and her three sisters, Naomi Hillegass, Marian Landes, and Evelyn Harley.

Burial will take place at Indian Creek Church of the Brethren Cemetery.
