Sandra Highouse , 79, of Harleysville, PA passed away on Saturday, March 8, 2025 at her residence.

Sandra was born in Phoenixville, PA to the late William O. Highouse and the late Helen M. (Zawislak) Highouse.

She graduated from Souderton High School, class of 1963.

Throughout her working years, Sandra was employed as an office secretary for Merck Sharp & Dohme. She was an attender of the Old Goshenhoppen Church and Perkiomenville Mennonite Church. She was heavily involved in the Goshenhoppen Historians as well as the Goshenhoppen Folk Festival.

Sandra's hobbies included sewing, specifically historical needlepoint as well as antiques, specifically historical items related to the Dutch and German groups that settled in the Franconia area. She also enjoyed gardening and Frakturs.

Sandra was a hardworking woman. She was a devoted daughter and sister. She was dedicated to historical restorations, preservations, and accurate recreations.

Sandra is survived by her nephew, Chris Long & wife, Rebecca Harrisonburg, VA and her two grandnieces, Isis and Eliza Long of Harrisonburg, VA. She is also survived by her cousins, Jerry Zawislak & wife, Marie, originally of Honesdale, PA; Kathleen Gershey, originally of Honesdale, PA; Susan Short & husband, John & their daughter, Melissa, originally of Honesdale, PA; and Rich Melody & wife, Masha & their son, Jason of Annapolis, MD.

In addition to her parents, Sandra was preceded in death by her sister, Tina Long.

A graveside service will be held on Friday, March 14, 2025 at 10:00 am at Old Goshenhoppen Cemetery, 2092 Church Road, Harleysville (Upper Salford Township), PA 19438.
