Obituary

Sandra J. (Goshow) Wampole , 78, of Green Lane, PA entered into rest on Monday, February 6, 2023 at Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania.

She was the loving wife of Denis Carl Wampole for 54 years. Sandra was born in Sellersville, PA to the late Henry Goshow and the late Irene (Keller) Goshow.

She graduated from Eastern Mennonite High School in Harrisonburg, VA. Sandra then graduated from Grand View Hospital School of Nursing. Sandra was employed as a registered nurse for Grand View Hospital. She then worked as registered nurse at John C. Lincoln Medical Center in Phoenix, AZ. Upon returning back to Pennsylvania, she returned to Grand View Hospital. Sandra was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She later worked at the Souderton Mennonite Homes for over 23 years, until retiring in 2010.

Sandra was a member of Salford Mennonite Church where she was part of the Ladies Sewing Circle and taught Summer Bible School. She volunteered at the Care & Share Thrift Shoppes in Souderton, PA and for the Souderton Mennonite Homes where she had a monthly sing-along with the residents.

Sandra enjoyed photography, sewing, baking, jigsaw puzzles, feeding the birds and deer with her husband.

She was a kind and compassionate woman who was a dedicated prayer warrior and loved reading the Bible.

In addition to her husband, Sandra is survived by her two sons, Michael D. Wampole & wife, Amy of Harrisonburg, VA, Christopher L. Wampole & wife, Cheri of Harrisonburg, VA; her five grandchildren – Seth, Austin, Vaughn, Adam, & Grace; her four brothers, Lowell Goshow & wife, Louis of Dewey, AZ, Glenn Goshow & wife, Helen of Syracuse, NY, Leon Goshow & wife, Gloria of Dewey, AZ, Rodney Goshow & wife, Lucy of Forksville, PA; her sister, Beverly Kochsmeier & husband, Pastor David of Bethlehem, PA; and her brother-in-law, Leo Heatwole of Harrisonburg, VA.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Carol Heatwole.

Services will be private at the convenience of the family.

Inurnment will take place at Salford Mennonite Cemetery.
