Obituary

Sarah E. (Ott) Carlin of Pennsburg passed away on Monday, July 27, 2020 as a result of an accident at the age of 39. She was the wife of Scott C. Carlin. She attended Penn View Christian School and Gwynedd Mercy Academy prior to graduating from New Horizon Academy in Marion, Indiana. An honors graduate of Temple University's school of Social Work, she was employed by Montgomery County as a social worker in its Early Intervention Department since 2005.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by a daughter, Julia Grace (11), her parents, Stanley R. and Judith D. Ott of Schwenksville, sisters Rachel S. Smith of Line Lexington, and Susan J. Merritt (Tom) of Telford, nephews James H. Smith, Austin D. Merritt, Samuel E. Carlin, and Zechariah S. Carlin, nieces Ashley D. Merritt, Sophia M. Carlin, and Tessa G. Carlin, step-sons Chance and Chase Carlin, a step-granddaughter, Lilliana Carlin, and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.

She was a devoted wife and doting mother and a passionate advocate for the children she served professionally. She will be remembered as a good neighbor, a loyal friend, and a lover of all animals, especially her dog Brutus. Her favorite place to be was with her family in Woods Hole on Cape Cod.

Due to COVID, services will be private at the convenience of the family. The family requests that in lieu of flowers, contributions in her memory be sent to the Mitzvah Circle Foundation, 2562 Boulevard of the Generals, Norristown, PA 19403, whose mission is "to meet the needs of families in crisis."
