Sheila D. (Van Billiard) Roth , 85, of Lansdale, PA; formerly of Hatfield, PA went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, March 10, 2022, at Dock Terrace, Lansdale, PA.

She was the loving wife of Paul S. Roth for 63 years. Sheila was born in Sellersville, PA to the late Marjorie Sacks and the late Luther Van Billiard.

She graduated from Eastern Mennonite High School in Harrisonburg, VA, Class of 1955, and Grand View Hospital School of Nursing, Class of 1958.

She was employed as a Registered Nurse at Grand View Hospital for 35 years where she worked in the Intensive Cardiac Care Unit from its inception until her retirement. She retired at age 60 so she could spend more time with her grandchildren. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She found fulfillment and joy in spending time with her family.

Sheila enjoyed refinishing antique furniture, crocheting, decoupage, counted cross stitch and rug braiding. She loved going on cruises and traveling with her husband. Europe, Hawaii, Alaska and Trinidad are a few of the places they visited.  Disney World, Hilton Head, SC and Siesta Key, FL were favorites vacation spots in the US.

Sheila was a member of Salem Mennonite Church where she formerly served as a Vacation Bible School teacher and Church Librarian. Sheila was a sweet, godly, loving woman who put others first. She faithfully prayed for the people she knew were hurting as well as for her church, her family and friends.  Her quiet and gentle spirit was a blessing to all who knew her, and especially the patients that she cared for.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by her son, Andrew Roth & wife, Brenda of Sellersville, PA; her daughter, Deborah Hedrick & husband, Merlin of Telford, PA; her five grandchildren – Jessica Miller, Emily Hedrick, Rebecca Roth, Marlin Roth, Malinda Sutphin; and her great-granddaughter, Eleanora Miller.

A visitation time will be held on Saturday, March 19, 2022, at Souderton Mennonite Church, 105 West Chestnut Street, Souderton, PA 18964 from 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm, followed by a Celebration of Life service at 1:00 pm. The services will be live streamed, please click here to join.
