Shirley M. (Moyer) Garis , 92, of Souderton, PA; went home to be with the Lord on Monday, November 6, 2023 at Grand View Hospital.

She was the loving wife of the late Willard L. Garis for 61 years. Shirley was born in Blooming Glen, PA to the late Garwood R. Moyer and the late Lois (Barndt) Moyer.

She was an attender of Souderton Brethren in Christ Church.

Throughout her life, Shirley enjoyed shopping, yard sales and collecting anything that she found interest in. She also took pleasure in tending to her flower garden and completing word search puzzles. Shirley was always able to find peace when watching the birds and mowing the grass.

What brought Shirley the most joy in life was her family. She will be remembered as a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother with a fantastic sense of humor. She was a loving, caring, compassionate and an understanding woman with a generous heart that had a way with words.

Shirley is survived by her son, Jay W. Garis, and wife Diane, of New Tripoli, PA; her daughter, Tina Marie Wicks, and husband Mike, of Spring Hill, FL; her four grandchildren, Holly, and husband Andrew, Tabitha, Duane, & Stephanie; her eight great-grandchildren, Kiara, Ryan, Riley, Mason, Javin, Gracie, Adrian, & Ali; and her brothers, Garwood "Bud" Moyer, Ray B. Moyer, and wife Karen, Terry B. Moyer, and wife Brenda.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her infant son; her brothers, Richard B. Moyer, Robert B. Moyer; and her sister, Sonia Althouse.
