Shirley Ann Wier , age 86 of Norristown PA, passed away Friday November 12, 2021 at Dock Terrace in Lansdale PA.

She was the daughter of Harold & Erma (Burket) McGunigal.

Born and raised in Hollidaysburg, PA, she attended Hollidaysburg High. Shirley was a 1955 graduate of Montgomery Hospital School of Nursing. There she worked as a Registered Nurse for 40 years. In 1984 she attended Hershey Medical School, graduating with a degree as an Enterostomal Therapist.

Shirley Ann loved nursing. She touched many lives with her compassion and understanding.  She was an avid sewer of crafts, enjoyed movies, puzzle books, and traveling but most of all she truly loved and adored her 7 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.

Shirley Ann is survived by her husband of 65 years Clayton M. Wier Sr., daughter Erma M. Valerio, son James R. Wier, two sisters; MaryJane Lindsey and Blanche Shylo. She is preceded in death by son Clayton M. Wier Jr., two brothers; Bill (Hap) McGunigal and James R. McGunigal.

Burial will take place at Chelten Hill Cemetery, Philadelphia PA. Honoring Shirley Ann wishes, there will be no visitation. Memorial Service will be with immediate family.

There was never a day to go by, that she didn't say "I Love You" and ask for a kiss.
