Steven Thomas Wiater , 68, of Hilltown, PA formerly of North Wales & Philadelphia entered into rest on Wednesday, April 3, 2024 at his residence.
Steven was the loving husband of Patricia "Trish" Ann (Walch) Wiater for 45 years. He was born in Germantown, PA to the late Walter P. Wiater and the late Anne (Ogonek) Wiater.
Steven graduated from North Penn High School, class of 1974. He also graduated from North Montco Technical School, Lansdale.
Steven worked in the park maintenance department for the former West Point Park in West Point, PA. He then worked as a welder for the former Aiden Raytor in Montgomeryville, PA. He was then employed as an Assistant Road Foreman for Montgomery Township in Montgomeryville, PA for 26 years.
Steven was a member of the Monroeton Rod & Gun Club in Monroe, PA, the North Penn Gun Club in Quakertown, PA, and the Hilltown German Hungarian Sportsman Club in Hilltown, PA. He volunteered with McMackin Plumbing & Heating for the Adopt-A-Highway program on Hilltown Pike for 20 years. He was a member of Our Lady of Sacred Heart Catholic Church.
Steven loved the outdoors and enjoyed hunting, golfing, fishing, bicycling, canoeing, kayaking, and trips to the mountains. He absolutely loved mowing the grass and yard maintenance. He enjoyed going to the gym, socializing, and listening to all kinds of music.
Steven was a hardworking, generous, caring, compassionate man who had a "my way or the highway" way of life.
In addition to wife, Trish, he is survived by his three sons, Christopher Louis Wiater of Pennsburg, PA, Anthony Steven Wiater & wife, Courtney of Hilltown, PA, Steven James Wiater & companion, Lindsey Cuilwik of Hilltown, PA; his granddaughter, Mikayla Marie Wiater of Hilltown, PA; his four brothers, Al Wiater & wife, Donna of Philadelphia, PA, Gary Wiater of Lansdale, PA, Wayne Wiater & wife, Diane of Quakertown, PA, Mark Wiater & wife, Debbie of Perkasie, PA; and his two sisters, Denise Bruecks & husband, Tony of North Wales, PA, Rhonda Dobrydnia of Quakertown, PA.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother-in-law, Kenny Dobrydnia.
A visitation will be held on Thursday, April 18, 2024 at Our Lady of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 100 Broad St., Hilltown, PA 18927 from 9:30 am - 11:00 am, followed by a Funeral Mass at 11:00 am.
