Vera grew up in Ardmore, OK, and graduated from Ardmore High School in the Class of 1943. After marrying, she made her home in Hatfield, where she lived for many years.

A devoted member of the former Montgomery Baptist Church in Colmar, PA, Vera served faithfully as a Sunday school teacher for over 17 years. Her deep faith and commitment to her church community were central to her life.

In her free time, Vera found great joy in volunteering, especially at Sandy Cove and the Calvert Nursing Home in North East, MD, where she gave generously of her time and energy.

Vera had a passion for gardening, quilting, sewing, and designing clothes. She especially cherished time spent with her children and grandchildren, playing board games and cards. She was deeply loved by her entire family and will be remembered for her warmth, creativity, and strong spirit.

She is survived by her four children: Dr. Rockwell "Rocky" Finley & wife, Brenda of Harleysville, PA; Ronald "Ron" Finley & wife, Barb of Souderton, PA; Tanya Burge & husband, Edgar "Eddie" of Warminster, PA; and Debra Rodgers & husband, Robert "Bob" of Hatfield, PA.
