Obituary

Wilbur "Willie" L. Kriebel , 86, of Souderton, Pennsylvania went home to be with the Lord on Friday, December 5, 2025, at Souderton Mennonite Homes.

He was the devoted husband of Marilyn (Moyer) Kriebel for 67 years. Born in Souderton, he was the son of the late Warren Kriebel and the late Sallie Mae (Landis) Kriebel.

Wilbur was a 1957 graduate of Christopher Dock Mennonite High School. Over the years, he worked in several roles within the grocery industry, including serving as President of Clemens Markets, owning the Watershed Dairy Store in Hatfield, working as a dairy clerk at Whole Foods in Montgomeryville, and serving as a part-time grocery clerk for Landis Markets in Telford.

A faithful member of Grace Mennonite Church, Wilbur served as an usher and supported the life of the congregation in many ways.

He enjoyed hunting, playing softball and basketball, reading, watching football, and spending time with his grandchildren. He will be remembered as a hardworking, sociable, and selfless man with a warm sense of humor.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by three sons: Douglas Kriebel & wife, Linda of East Greenville, PA; Steven Kriebel & wife, Lena of Gilbertsville, PA; and Gary Kriebel & wife, Annette of Great Falls, MT. He is also survived by six grandchildren – Darrin, Stephanie, Abigail, Joshua, Megan, and Renee; and his great-granddaughter, Sophia. Wilbur is further survived by his brother, Glenn Kriebel of Lansdale, PA, and three sisters: Lorraine Landis of Souderton, PA; Marilyn Ritchie of Harrisonburg, VA; and Audrey Villanueva of Florida, NY.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his brothers, Arlin and Floyd Kriebel; and his sister, Virginia Deeds.

A Celebration of Life Service for Wilbur and Marilyn will be held on Saturday, January 10, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. at Grace Mennonite Church, 630 York Avenue, Lansdale, Pennsylvania 19446, followed by an informal visitation at 11:30 a.m.

A private inurnment will take place at Zion Memorial Gardens in Franconia.
